Luna Fake GPS — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 16, 2025

Thank you for using Luna Fake GPS (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Important note about lawful use. The App provides mock/simulated location features intended for development, testing, privacy, and accessibility use-cases. Using mock location may violate the terms of other apps or services, or applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for how you use the App. Nothing in this Policy authorizes unlawful use.

1) Who We Are (Data Controller)

The data controller for personal data processed through the App is the developer of the App (“we,” “us,” “our”).

Contact:
Email: [support@chatluna.com]

If you are in the EEA/UK and we appoint an EU/UK representative, we will make their contact details available here.

2) Scope

This Policy applies to personal data processed via the App and any in-app support channels or emails you send to us. It does not cover third-party websites, services, SDKs, or platforms that are not controlled by us.

3) Summary (At a Glance)

  • We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • We request only the permissions the App needs to function.

  • By default, we do not store your real-time precise location on our servers. Any location you input or simulate is processed to deliver the feature and ordinarily not retained by us, except as described below (e.g., diagnostics).

  • We may use on-device storage and limited analytics/crash diagnostics to improve stability and performance.

  • You have privacy rights, which may include access, correction, deletion, objection/restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent.

4) What We Collect

Depending on your use of the App and your device settings, we may process the following categories of data:

A. Location Data (GPS / Simulated Location)

  • Access to your device’s location is requested to enable mock/simulated location functionality.

  • The App can process coordinates you provide or simulated routes you configure.

  • By default, we do not persist your real-time precise location on our servers. Some device operating systems, OEM layers, or third-party services may keep their own logs—please review your device and OS policies.

B. Device & Technical Data

  • Device model, OS version, language/locale, time zone, network type, installation and App version, device identifiers (e.g., Android ID) and similar metadata.

C. Usage & Diagnostics

  • In-app interactions, feature usage, session duration, screens viewed, performance metrics, and error/crash logs.

D. Communications & Support

  • The content of messages you send us (e.g., support requests), your contact details (e.g., email address), and any attachments you provide (e.g., screenshots, logs).

Sensitive Data: We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (e.g., health, biometric, or special-category data) through the App.

5) Sources of Data

  • Directly from you (e.g., when you configure the App or contact support).

  • Automatically from your device (e.g., diagnostics, technical data) subject to your settings and permissions.

  • Third-party SDKs/services (if enabled), which may receive limited technical/usage data; see Section 9.

6) Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the App and its features).

  • Legitimate interests (e.g., to improve and secure the App, prevent abuse).

  • Consent (e.g., for optional analytics/diagnostics, notifications). You may withdraw consent at any time via your device settings or in-app controls (where available).

  • Legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful requests).

Under Türkiye’s KVKK, equivalent legal grounds apply (e.g., explicit consent, necessity for service provision, legitimate interest, legal obligations).

7) How We Use Data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide core functionality (mock/simulated location, routes, waypoints, preferences).

  • Operate, maintain, and improve performance and stability.

  • Diagnose crashes and troubleshoot issues.

  • Prevent, detect, and investigate misuse or security incidents.

  • Provide user support and respond to inquiries.

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.

  • Produce aggregated/anonymous analytics and reports (which do not identify you).

We do not use personal data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.

8) Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above or as required by law. Examples:

  • Diagnostics/crash logs: retained for a limited period needed to investigate stability issues.

  • Support emails/tickets: retained until your request is resolved and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

  • Aggregated/anonymous data: may be retained without time limit as it does not identify you.

When retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete or anonymize data.

9) Third-Party Disclosures & SDKs

We may disclose personal data to:

  • Service providers / processors: e.g., analytics, crash reporting, cloud/email services, and content delivery services. They are bound by contractual obligations to process data only on our instructions and to protect it.

  • Authorities / legal requests: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.

  • Business transfers: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financing, or sale of assets (your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to this Policy).

Third-party SDKs. If the App integrates SDKs (e.g., analytics or crash reporting), those providers may receive technical and usage data under their own privacy terms. The current list of SDKs (if any) and links to their policies will be published in-app or on our website. You can disable optional SDKs where applicable.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10) International Transfers

We may transfer personal data to countries outside your own (e.g., where our service providers are located). Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or rely on adequacy decisions. You may request a summary of these safeguards using the contact details above.

11) Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (e.g., TLS) and, where appropriate, at rest.

  • Access controls, least-privilege principles, and audit logs for systems under our control.

  • Regular dependency updates, vulnerability assessments, and secure development practices.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12) Your Rights

Your privacy rights depend on your location. Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access: know whether we process your data and obtain a copy.

  • Rectify: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Erase: request deletion of personal data in certain circumstances.

  • Restrict or Object: limit or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above. We may ask you to verify your identity. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., KVKK Kurumu in Türkiye, your Data Protection Authority in the EEA, or the ICO in the UK).

California (CPRA) Notice

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and to limit the use and disclosure of “sensitive personal information.” We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by CPRA. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

13) Cookies, Local Storage & Similar Technologies

The App may use on-device storage (e.g., SharedPreferences/Keychain), local databases, or equivalent mechanisms to store settings (such as language, routes, favorites) and to cache temporary data. If the App includes a web view or website, it may use cookies for session management, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit functionality.

14) Permissions

To function, the App may request certain permissions, for example:

  • Location (approximate/precise): enable mock/simulated location features.

  • Foreground service / background operation: maintain simulated routes while the App is active.

  • Network access: check connectivity or download map tiles (if applicable).

  • Notifications (optional): inform you about running sessions or errors.

The exact list of permissions appears in your app store listing and on first run. You can revoke permissions at any time via your device settings; some features may stop working without required permissions.

15) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country—generally 13–16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

16) Third-Party Links & Services

The App may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices. Please review their policies before using them.

17) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the App (and/or via our official channels) and indicate the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
